Fumiaki Imamura, University of Cambridge MRC Epidemiology Unit

Intake24 is a self-administered online 24-hour dietary recall tool developed by Newcastle University. Intake24 uses the USDA’s multiple-pass recall method whereby individuals recall everything they consumed over the previous 24-hour period (from when they woke up to when they went to sleep). Individuals first list all the food and drink items they consumed, followed by recording the quantities and further information regarding the foods and drinks recorded. The tool provides instant nutrient intake outputs including energy, macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients. Intake24 is an open-source research tool, freely available to researchers.
